I love all the Friends for their unique personalities. Monica inspired me in that she was fiercely loyal and passionate towards taking care of her friends and her home. I also saw so much of myself in her desire for perfection. Why not have a little fun by making simple swaps in your daily life to remind you of the characters you loved. Here’s 10 little things you can incorporate easily into your life to channel your inner Monica Geller!

Style
When I think of Monica’s style I think of classics that combine elegance and comfort. She’s often also seen wearing classic blue jeans especially in the early seasons. For nights in, I adore the love and lore piped pyjama set (in fact I am wearing them as I type this post). They are so soft and perfect for cozy nights (watching friends). It helps that they are so similar to the set she wears during the sleepover with the girls! For everyday wear, try these American Eagle high waisted mom jeans paired with a red lipstick for a classic put together but casual look.
Organization
I feel like Monica would definitely have a Filofax to organize her life. While we are in the age of digital planning now, I love my saffiano leather A5 filofax. I simply feel more put together when I’m physically flipping through my planner pages than digitally on my iPad. I can’t explain it but I will never waver from my love of physical planners and organizers. A label maker is also a must to stay organized. While we might not have 11 categories of towels or number our mugs like Monica does, a label marker can help us stay a bit more organized.
Hosting
Monica is always the hostess!
Try a cute canvas tote for the trips to the store to stock up the house with snacks. I think having a stylish tote to take to the grocery store is the perfect way to romanticize an every day task. It also takes time to build the perfect hosting collection but I think a great place to start is with a beautiful set of wine glasses. Consider also a recipe book to jot down all your go-to recipes for your hosting nights and parties. The Papier recipe journal is so cute and the color even matches her purple apartment walls!
Home
To this day, I still love Monica’s apartment. It was charming and inviting with its vintage bits and mismatched furniture. It just felt lived in and so cozy. I think the Mackenzie Childs kettle is perfect to add a little whimsy to your space like Monica’s apartment. Obviously, we have to talk about cleaning as well. I love the bare home products and use them in my own home. They are eco friendly and beautiful to look at in simple glass bottles. The starter kit is great. It also makes for a wonderful hostess gift!
I hope this post inspired you! It’s not difficult to channel your inner Monica Geller. Which Friend should we channel next?
